Work Requirement
This role will be based out of our Vancouver office and is eligible for our Hybrid Work Policy, with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, execute, and analyze innovative antibody-based therapeutics in fields of immuno-oncology.
- Records experimental data and writes in-depth notebook entries.
- Work with and may direct a talented team of Immunology researchers.
- Reviews experimental process and data with coworkers as appropriate.
- Presents the progress of experiments to others.
- May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.
- Contributes to scientific literature and conferences.
- Fosters effective and collaborative working relationships with fellow employees and management.
Education and Experience
PhD in Immunology or a related subject.
Experience: Up to 2 years of relevant experience (Associate Scientist)
Additional experience: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills and Abilities
- Expert knowledge of immune cell biology, focusing on T and/or NK cell biology.
- Demonstrated experience of in vitro experiments to examine immune cell biology – in particular tumor-immune co-culture assays, T cell activation, and survival assays.
- Extensive Flow cytometry experience, including multiparameter, intracellular, and phosphoflow.
- Remains current with the latest developments in immunology and therapeutic modalities applicable to oncology and immune-based diseases.
- Proficiency with software such as GraphPad Prism, flow cytometry software, and Microsoft Office.
