The Opportunity:

Please make sure you are happy with working hours/days before applying. Avantor is looking for a Cell Biology Research Technician to join the team based in Cambridge. In this position, you’ll be part of the team that is responsible for delivery of support activities to our client’s cell culture and banking science function and operating in accordance with respective H&S and GLS requirements.

The Team:

You’ll be a part of newly established Cell Biology group of 3. The team is responsible for a range of laboratory tasks including cell culture, cell harvesting, cell banking, QC sampling, associated documentation and tracker updates and handover from and to the science team pre and post shift.

Job Details:

• Education: Biological Science Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience: Multiple years’ experience operating within a cell science laboratory performing cell culture techniques and cell biology related activities
• Working hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday from 8:00/9:00 until 16:00/17:00 (32 hours per week)

What We’re Looking For:

• Cell culture and cell banking experience
• Reagent and media preparation and aliquoting
• Quality Control sample preparation and testing
• Data entry and data analysis using packages including Microsoft Office
