About the Job
Your New Role
This is a contract position with good home working flexibility initially lasting 12 months. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of R&D Scientists, Bioinformaticians, medics, and statisticians to develop and apply various bioinformatics and statistical/Data Science approaches. The main focus will be on new target identification, validation, biomarker discovery, and patient stratification.
Main Responsibilities
- Hands-on analysis of omic and genetic/genomic data sets
- Developing new scripts, tools, and pipelines for R&D projects
- Working closely with stakeholders to advise on drug targets and potential discovery strategies
- Hands-on programming in R and/or Python for pipeline development
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- BSc/MSc/PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, data science, or related fields
- Experience with genomic, NGS, or multi-omic data sets
- Knowledge/experience of drug discovery or development
- Programming skills in Python or R
- Strong communication and collaborative working skills
Additional Skills
Knowledge/experience with Machine Learning and/or predictive modeling approaches is an advantage.
