Job Description
The Role: Moderna is seeking a highly skilled Principal Scientist to join our Clinical and Translational Computational Oncology team. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze complex multi-omics data to uncover insights that can enhance the clinical efficacy of Moderna’s cancer therapies. This role involves collaborating with internal and external partners, utilizing cutting-edge computational methods, and contributing to impactful research publications.
Responsibilities
- Utilize computational approaches to analyze multimodal patient datasets
- Analyze multi-omics data and connect insights to clinical endpoints
- Focus on mechanistic questions related to Moderna’s oncology portfolio
- Collaborate with internal and external partners for problem-solving
- Communicate findings and contribute to research publications
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD plus 5+ years of experience in bioinformatics or computational biology
- Strong programming skills in Python or R
- Experience with genomics data analysis and machine learning methods
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of single cell biology and computational analysis
- Expertise in developing custom computational methods
- Previous work in immunology, cancer, or immune-oncology
- Experience with mRNA therapies and machine learning for clinical image analysis
