Job Description
Scientist, Genomics Assays (2-year contract)
We are seeking a motivated and meticulous Scientist to join the Translational Sciences Genomics team. The Scientist will conduct various unbiased and targeted genomics profiling assays to support early drug discovery projects within the company. Join us and work on cutting-edge projects across a spectrum of therapeutic areas.
What You Will Do
- Nucleic acid extraction from various tissues/cells
- Targeted gene expression or mutational profiling
- Preparation and QC of libraries for single-cell RNA-seq
- Assessment and development of novel genomics technologies
- Support the team in lab operations
What You Must Have
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related discipline
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in industry or academia
- Experience with molecular biology techniques and aseptic cell culture techniques
Preferred Experience
- Experience with RNA/DNA QC platforms
- Familiarity with next-generation sequencing (NGS) principles
- Experience with single-cell RNA-seq techniques
- Familiarity with scientific software
