Job Description
Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.
A day in the Life:
- Plan, perform, analyze, and document laboratory experiments
- Culture and maintain bacterial/eukaryotic cell lines
- Develop protocols for protein expression
- Harvest and purify proteins
- Maintain laboratory instruments and supplies
- Opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary group and interact with various departments
- Chance to gain experience and grow in the fields of biochemistry, structural biology, or protein/antibody engineering
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification. 2+ years of previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
Preferred Experience:
Protein Biochemistry experience. Experience with cell culture and aseptic technique.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory authority, compendia, and ICH guidelines
- Ability to understand and independently apply GMPs and/or GLPs
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Time management and project management skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Working Environment:
Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner. Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for typical working hours.
