The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist specializing in Protein Analytics to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in protein chemistry and analytics, with experience in various protein characterization techniques. This role involves conducting and leading research projects focused on the analysis and characterization of proteins extracted through advanced technologies.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Design, plan, and execute research projects focused on protein analytics and characterization.
- Develop and optimize protocols for the extraction, purification, and analysis of proteins.
- Utilize a range of analytical techniques, including chromatography, mass spectrometry or ELISAs to characterize protein structure and function.
- Analyse and interpret complex data sets to drive scientific insights and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality control, to ensure the successful development and application of protein analytics methods.
- Prepare and present research findings in scientific reports, publications, and presentations.
- Stay current with the latest scientific advancements and industry trends in protein analytics.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Ph.D. in biochemistry or related discipline.
- Postdoctoral or industry experience in protein analytics.
- Strong expertise in protein characterization techniques and methodologies e.g. chromatography.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using analytical instruments and laboratory equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
