The Ebrahimi Lab at Texas Biomedical Research Institute is seeking a full-time postdoctoral scientist / staff scientist in Cancer Molecular Biology to join a collaborative team of investigators with diverse backgrounds in quantitative and experimental sciences. The research in the Ebrahimi Lab is focused on understanding the molecular determinants of cancer and infectious disease disparities across human populations and relevant model organisms using big data science approaches. By working across disciplines and integrating diverse datasets, Ebrahimi’s team has identified associations between mutational signatures and novel dysregulated processes in cancer. These studies provide a unique opportunity for the selected scientist to engage in highly collaborative projects across institutions and disciplines, including cancer, virology, genomics, evolution, biostatistics, and bioinformatics.
