Responsibilities
- Conduct research on the biochemistry of new herbicide leads and targets using protein biochemistry, molecular biology, and bioinformatics.
- Utilize microbial expression systems to produce, purify, and measure protein function in test systems.
- Analyze, report, and document data, and present and discuss results.
- Participate in project teams and gain experience as a scientist in an industrial setting.
Qualifications
- PhD in biology, biochemistry, or a related natural scientific discipline, with work experience in protein biochemistry.
- Strong project management skills.
- Expertise in plant biology, structural protein biology, micro- and molecular biology.
- Proficient in expression systems, protein purification, and relevant technologies within a research laboratory.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German.
