Position – Scientist as Lab Leader Biochemistry (m/f/d)

Your Tasks And Responsibilities – PhD Biochemistry Jobs
- You will contribute to a vibrant international and cross-functional community in a collaborative spirit that integrates your viewpoints and ideas to the purpose of “Health for all and Hunger for none”.
- Lead a biochemistry lab within the indication Pest Control / Insecticides comprising a team of technicians.
- Develop, evaluate, maintain, and optimize relevant assay systems, (e.g. displacement/fluorescence / enzymatic / cell-based assays) and continuously implement and apply novel methods and technologies.
- Generate decisive experimental data on the effect of active ingredients in biochemical/cellular, physiological/cell-free test systems, and ligand-binding studies.
- Interact naturally with large amounts of data using cutting-edge digital tools for data analysis and evaluation.
- Contribute actively to various project teams and enable decision-making along the critical path by validating the generated data in the project context.
- Generate, document and communicate research in the form of internal scientific reports and external publications.
Who You Are
- PhD in biochemistry, biology, or a related field with practical experience in biochemistry/cell biology and physiology.
- Broad expertise in protein biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology as well as a good understanding of insect biology and physiology.
- Familiarity with molecular target identification, evaluation & validation or structural biology (e.g. protein modeling, docking studies) is desirable.
- Ability to work with diverse cross-functional groups of people at all levels and networking skills.
- Profound organizational and project management skills as well as the ability to adapt to different organizations and cultures.
- Enjoyment of demanding challenges and a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to support change in complex organisations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to structure and simplify complex tasks.
- Well-developed entrepreneurial spirit & proactive mindset as well as a strong commitment to life-long learning, being digitally adept and innovative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (especially in English language) and the ability to present updates, plans, and proposals concisely to a broad audience.
