Position Title: Postdoctoral Position: Stem cell Applications in Tissue Bioengineering
We are seeking an outstanding researcher with Ph.D. in bioengineering, Molecular Biology or in the biomedical field. Candidates with experience in 3D printing with biomaterials and bioreactors are preferred. Candidates must have an interest in tissue bioengineering, stem cell research, and molecular biology with a strong publication record. A thorough knowledge of the English language with proficient writing and oral communication skills are needed as well as the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
The Zalzman laboratory studies novel mechanisms enhancing stem-cell replicative lifespan. The project goal of this position is to and prevent cell death and senesce and restore the potential of aged cells and stem cells. The project will combine stem cell culture with innovative 3D printing for the treatment of degenerative diseases and reconstructive surgeries. The position will also involve collaboration with additional laboratories in the University of Maryland and NIH.
