Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Support natural microbial solutions for the animal productivity product lines for the Arm and Hammer Animal and Food Production business
- Conduct microbial and molecular analysis of environmental and animal samples from customers following established SOPs under supervision
- Input and update information in databases and spreadsheets and analyze data and assist in report generation following established SOPs under supervision
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment
- Maintain laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies
- Assist in communicating results to the sales and technical teams
- Assist in implementing new analysis methods to improve the customer support platform to determine customized product formulations
Education and Experience:
B.Sc. Degree and 2 years of laboratory experience preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- Computer literate and knowledgeable and proficient in MS Office
- Demonstrated organizational and work planning skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Hands-on laboratory skills needed including general microbiology and molecular biology techniques
- Ability to manage large workloads at times and to adapt to reprioritization as necessary in a rapidly changing environment
General Laboratory Requirements:
- Adhere to and follow established procedures and policies for working in the laboratory designated for the development of regulated products
- Maintain a log of all samples, isolates, and experimental results in a laboratory notebook or other data capture software system
- Computer literate and knowledgeable and proficient in MS Office
