The Role:

As a Microbiology Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for providing support in microbiological testing for incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Your role will directly impact the quality and safety of our manufacturing areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Adhering to EHS Guidelines: Proactively participate in laboratory safety initiatives and strictly adhere to all company EHS guidelines and procedures.
  2. Microbiological Testing: Perform accurate testing of incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products by procedures to meet production and shipping deadlines.
  3. Environmental Monitoring: Conduct regular environmental monitoring of cleanroom facilities and manufacturing areas to ensure compliance with standards.
  4. Laboratory Equipment: Safely and correctly operate and maintain various laboratory equipment, perform routine checks and calibration, and set up equipment by Standard Operating Procedures.
  5. Solution Preparation: Accurately prepare solutions required for testing products.
  6. Training and Support: Train colleagues on laboratory equipment and procedures in Analytical Services laboratories. Provide technical backup and support to production, including non-routine lab testing for process validations, quality improvement efforts, and customer complaints.
  7. Data Management and Documentation: Archive laboratory data, logbooks, and samples as per procedures. Control, issue, and maintain laboratory documentation. Update, draft, and review quality documentation such as test methods and standard operating procedures.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in identified Continuous Improvement initiatives related to cost, quality, and other areas.
  9. Inventory Management: Maintain laboratory inventory levels.
  10. Other Quality Duties: Perform any other related quality duties as required.

Who You Are:

Education: B.Sc. / Diploma in Microbiology or equivalent

General Skills:

  • Thorough, practical, and persistent self-starter.

  • Proficient in computer literacy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
