Position Description:
The Scientist-QC is part of the Lilly Lebanon API Quality Control team and provides technical leadership and expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Control laboratory systems.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Sample Analysis and Reporting: Verify analytical data, perform test methods accurately, and review work for accuracy.
- Problem Solving: Recognize deviations, conduct root cause investigations, and troubleshoot equipment.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Assist in improving quality systems and support Lean initiatives.
- Lab Operations: Write protocols, develop equipment qualification protocols, train and mentor others.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science field related to the lab
- 1+ years of experience in a cGMP laboratory environment
Additional Preferences:
- Ability to work in a lab environment
- Demonstrate strong math and documentation skills
- Proficiency with computer systems
Other Information:
- Strong potential for a short-term assignment at one of our Indianapolis-based manufacturing facilities
- Role may involve shifts covering days, nights, and weekends
- Overtime or weekend work may be required
