Life Sciences Research & Development Intern
Location: Houston, TX, United States (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Drive research and development of an early-stage genomics project in reproductive medicine
- Collect and summarize information from current literature, regulatory documents, and internal/external sources
- Perform complex laboratory procedures including PCR and next-generation sequencing
- Analyze data with bioinformatics experts
- Summarize data and provide conclusions for future project direction
Essential Functions
- Perform molecular-based procedures following SOPs
- Analyze results and provide feedback
- Undertake other assigned duties
Scope
Conduct complex molecular experiments to support product development in the Houston, Texas R&D lab
Qualifications
- Intermediate skill in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Well-organized with attention to detail
- Excellent project management and communication skills
Experience
Prior internship experience is a plus, but not mandatory
Education
Current university student majoring in Life Sciences, entering Junior or Senior year with coursework in molecular biology, genetics, etc.
