About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our biotech department. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of innovative biotech projects to produce a final positive impact in the targeted markets. The specific aim of the role encompasses the conception and development of microbiological-based functional products.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in the field and contribute to the development of novel solutions using cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and conduct innovative research in the field of microbiology, focusing on microorganisms with applicative potential.
- Coordinate and manage project advancements, milestones, and tasks; collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
- Drive scientific advancements through cutting-edge technology in microbial fermentation, bioprocess, and molecular microbiology.
- Analyze and interpret complex biological data.
- Foster the translation of basic and applicative research towards structured projects.
Required Profile
- PhD in microbiology or biotechnology; with a focus on environmental microbiology or related fields.
- Proven track record in microbial fermentation and bioprocess optimization.
- Proficient in microbial characterization techniques and general microbiology.
- Strong knowledge of molecular microbiology.
- Experience working under GLP conditions and applying rigorous scientific methodology.
- Knowledge of computational methods for metagenome analysis, metabolic pathway analysis, etc.
- Previous exposure to industrial environments and scale-up processes.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Open-minded, proactive, adaptive, and resilient.
- Enthusiastic about applicative research in transformative biotechnology.
- Personal vehicle and driver’s license type B preferred.
