The Position
Main Purpose of the Position:
This position plays a vital role in supporting the development of new modalities in cell and gene therapies. As a Quality Control Associate, you will be involved in analytical development and quality control activities to support the clinical development of RNA/DNA vaccines and cell therapies.
Responsibilities
- Execute work in compliance with cGMP regulations and expectations
- Perform analytical testing to support process development, cleaning validation, investigations, and product release
- Perform environmental and critical utility monitoring
- Write or review equipment qualification/maintenance documents and procedures
- Identify and communicate potential quality or regulatory issues
- Support internal and external audits
- Perform any other tasks as requested by Management
Qualifications/Requirements
- B.S./B.A. Degree and two years of experience or Master’s degree plus one year experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degrees are preferably in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or relevant scientific discipline and experience is in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
- Sound knowledge of cGMPs or equivalent regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Professional level written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in an office and laboratory environment
