Eligbility Criteria:Â
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in product development or an applied science
Travel (10-20%) - Previous experience in product and process development with strong technical problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Previous project management experience including timeline and technical plan development
- Ability to manage multiple projects across several product platforms
- Comfortable in pilot plant and plant settings
- Interest in understanding complex product/process interactions
Preferred:
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead multiple complex, large-scale, technology-driven projects from concept to commercialization.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking
- Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional and external environment and provide key product guidance.
- Ability to partner and communicate with multiple business teams
- Applicable Research and development experience in innovation, renovation, and HMM
In this role, you will build foundational knowledge and technical depth in the formulation and process of unique & technically complex fruit snacks products. This role requires a deep understanding of food chemistry, specifically starch, sugar, fats/oils, and hydrocolloid chemistry. The ideal candidate for this role must also be comfortable in a pilot plant and plant setting as this role requires an advanced understanding of the product/process interaction. Additional expectations will include a strong bias for action and the ability to understand and prioritize multiple project interactions.

Key Accountabilities:
- Support a wide range of innovative project activities including concept development, consumer interaction, and scouting for new ideas and technologies applicable to prioritized areas.
- Partner with Business teams and external partners to enhance Core renovation and HMM execution.
- Independently consult, design, and manage the appropriate product analytical, sensory, and stability studies to meet business needs and enhance product foundational knowledge.
- Manage and lead technically complex projects: create technical plans, timelines, risk assessments, and mitigation plans; identify opportunities by challenging formulation and processing assumptions.
- Scale-up from bench to pilot plant to plant.
