Job Description:
As a Scientist 1 in the R&D Media Program at ASP, you will be responsible for preparing media and fluids for microbial testing, conducting growth promotion and sterility testing, and performing enzyme activity assays. You will also support equipment validation, research studies, and protocols to develop new technologies for potential products.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and test microbiology media, fluids, and enzyme solutions
- Wash, sterilize glassware, and maintain laboratory inventory
- Support equipment validation program
- Train other laboratory personnel
- Conduct experiments following regulatory guidelines
- Communicate experiment status and results effectively
- Perform data organization, analysis, and reporting
- Support investigations and problem-solving
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of laboratory experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field
- Strong understanding of compliance with laboratory safety procedures
- Self-driven with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Professional experience in a GxP-regulated industry preferred
- Knowledge of sterilization, disinfection, and cleaning technologies preferred
- Working experience with medical sterilizers and devices preferred
