Job Title: Scientist – New York, NY
Key Responsibilities:
- High-throughput biochemical screening to support fundamental and applied olfaction science in the flavour and fragrance industry.
- In vitro GPCR assay development.
- Identification and evaluation of small molecule structure-activity relationships to support hit-to-lead processes.
- Management of scientific research projects.
- Analysis, interpretation and communication of data in cross-departmental teams to drive project progress.
Requirements:
Firmenich PhD Biochemistry job
- PhD in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biology or related field with 2+ years of post-doctoral experience in an academic or industry R&D laboratory, or MS with 5+ years post-graduate laboratory experience.
- Practical and theoretical expertise in biochemistry, pharmacology, and cellular biology. Drug-discovery experience would be a major advantage.
- Experience with tip-based liquid handlers and automated, plate-based high-throughput screening platforms.
- Firmenich PhD Biochemistry Demonstrated ability to become proficient with new technologies (equipment and software) and innovate on processes.
- Experience with Computer software including Excel, GraphPad Prism, PowerPoint, R Studio, and Venus.
