Job Description
Data Science and Analytics is seeking a Data Scientist in North Chicago, IL. This role is instrumental in applying advanced analytics techniques across clinical development processes at AbbVie. The ideal candidate will drive analytics innovation, enable data-driven insights, and contribute to solving complex business problems through Machine Learning and Visual Analytics.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver fit-for-purpose analytics solutions
- Drive analytics innovation and experimentation
- Translate business challenges into data-driven insights
- Adhere to regulatory standards and quality guidelines
- Suggest and implement enhancements in analytics techniques
- Create standard KPIs, reports, and statistical analyses to support business needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science, or related fields
- 2-3 years of experience in data science and analytics
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other statistical packages
- Experience with BI visualization tools like Spotfire and Tableau
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, AI, and forecasting analytics techniques
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
