Research Associate – Genomics Platform
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
The Genomics Platform at CZ Biohub SF is seeking a Research Associate to join their interdisciplinary team of researchers. This role offers the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research focused on sequencing, single-cell analysis, and spatial transcriptomics. As a Research Associate, you will work closely with senior researchers to develop new assays and contribute to innovative projects that aim to advance our understanding of diseases and therapeutics.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute laboratory procedures for generating sequencing data
- Learn and apply molecular biology techniques in a research setting
- Troubleshoot protocols, analyze results, and contribute to research projects
- Participate in the Global Outreach program for teaching metagenomic sequencing
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science with 1 year of molecular biology lab experience
- Experience in wet laboratory techniques and data analysis
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice to have:
- Master’s degree in a life science
- Additional experience in molecular lab techniques and genomics workflows
- Knowledge of short and/or long-read sequencing platforms
