Job Description
We are looking for a scientist with a sound knowledge of insect and mammalian cell culture to work within Cell Biology in the Bioscience Group. Confident to work independently, you will provide high quality mammalian and insect cells for a variety of applications and, also ensure the maintenance and stocks of these cell lines. In addition, you will exercise problem-solving skills when issues arise with the cells and investigate, identify, and implement the best solutions.
Working in a culture of constant improvement, you’ll be encouraged to develop further – expanding the knowledge of your own and other disciplines, as required.
Qualifications And Skills
- BSc degree (or equivalent) preferably in a Biological Science together with experience working in a scientific laboratory.
- Practical experience of mammalian and/or insect cell culture techniques is advantageous.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to relate to a wide range of customers from different disciplines.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Ability to problem solve.
