Position Summary
The Associate Scientist I – Quality Control is an entry-level laboratory role with the expectation that the candidate is able to be trained on technical procedures and execute them consistently and reliably. The role involves executing cGMP Quality Control testing, operating basic equipment, maintaining a GMP quality system, and more.
The Role
- Execute and document cGMP Quality Control testing with supervision.
- Operate basic cGMP Quality Control equipment and maintain equipment.
- Perform self-review of analytical data and enter data into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Perform solution preparations and facility monitoring activities.
- Perform routine Environmental Monitoring in a manufacturing environment and maintain laboratory tracking software.
- Perform general lab housekeeping and other assigned duties.
The Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related life sciences field OR equivalent industry experience.
- Basic understanding of analytical chemistry and simple lab equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with clean room procedure, aseptic technique, and general lab equipment experience.
- cGMP, GDP, GLP knowledge, and experience following SOP preferred.
- Physical requirements and ability to work in a lab environment.
