Job Posting: Biosciences and Biotechnology Division Graduate Student Intern – Summer 2024
Location: Livermore, CA, USA
Pay Range: $6,200.00 – $7,372.00 Monthly
Job Description
We have multiple openings for graduate level students and for students that received a bachelor’s or master’s degree to engage in practical research to further their educational goals. Opportunities include both computational and experimental research on problems associated with bioenergy, microbial communities, biodefense, and innate immunity. These positions are in the Physical and Life Sciences Directorate, Biosciences & Biotechnology Division.
Responsibilities:
- Work with biologists, biochemists, and computational scientists
- Conduct research under limited direction
- Report and translate data using common software packages
- Provide technical support to scientists
- Present work through presentations and/or poster sessions
Qualifications:
- Continuing college or university student pursuing a graduate degree or has completed their bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field
- Demonstrated academic achievement in relevant fields
- Experience applying scientific principles to solve technical problems
- Ability to operate PC and/or Macintosh computers for scientific data reporting
Additional Information
Qualifications we desire:
- GPA of 3.0 or above
