We are looking for a Bioinformatics Consultant to join our dynamic team of more than 20 bioinformatics consultants within Clarivate Life Science Consulting Services reporting to Bioinformatics Consulting Manager.
About You
Experience, education, skills, and accomplishments:
- At least 5 years of experience in a professional setting
- Proven experience in Bioinformatics, Computational or Systems Biology or a related field
- Advanced user of R, and Linux/Unix command line with strong understanding of statistics and data analysis
About the Team:
We are a growing team of more than 20 bioinformatics consultants mostly based in Barcelona, Spain with some team members based throughout the rest of Spain and US. We provide a wide range of bioinformatics services supporting clients from big pharma to small biotech start-ups, often leveraging Clarivate’s unique content in drug discovery and translation.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Delivery. Apply state-of-the-art bioinformatics tools to generate hypotheses on disease mechanisms, drug response biomarkers, and drug targets.
- Project management. Work independently and as part of the team to carry out bioinformatics analyses for various projects.
- Client Service. Scope bioinformatics projects by understanding client needs.
Hours of Work:
This is a permanent full-time position at 40 hours a week (35 hours during July and August). The working schedule is flexible, mostly centered on CET time zone with occasional need to accommodate late or early meetings with US or East Asia time zones. The position is hybrid going to the office in Barcelona 2-3 times per week.
