Job Description:
A Biochemistry Senior Investigator is responsible for conducting and writing complex GMP laboratory investigations; collaborating with technical and support staff to write, author, and assist in the implementation of effective Corrective Action/Preventive Actions (CAPA); supporting management by assisting and addressing internal and external audits; and utilizing all laboratory systems to accomplish these tasks.

- Assists Biochemistry Management with complex GMP laboratory investigations such as Out of Specifications, Out of Trend, and Client Complaints.
- Independently initiates, conducts, writes, and completes routine investigations in a timely manner.
- Works closely with QA to ensure compliance to GMP requirements.
- Executes human error analysis.
- Collaborates with Laboratory Staff and Biochemistry Operations to develop sustainable process improvements within the Biochemistry Department.
- Completes and implements effective Corrective Action/Preventive Actions (CAPA) to minimize repeat errors.
- Proficiently utilizes all laboratory systems such as laboratory information systems (eLIMS) and data collection systems such as Empower.
- Assists management with internal audits and laboratory walkthrough findings.
- Assists management in hosting client audits.
- Manages documentation in support of routine investigations and corrective action follow-up.
- Communicates effectively with client staff members.
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least three years of laboratory experience with knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field with three years of pharmaceutical experience, including some investigation participation.
- Detail-oriented and tactful.
- Observant.
- Good reasoning ability.
- Strong oral and written communication ability.
- Technical knowledge.
- Organized.
- Logical thinker, personal maturity, ability to make decisions and solve problems.
