Job Description
The Beverage Product Development Intern will support the Cold Beverage Product Development Team in investigating ways to streamline the formulation process from June 6 – August 12, 2022.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Conduct bench-top experiments, formula calculations, and develop prototypes
- Verify formula accuracy, complete formula documentation
- Maintain accurate and detailed record of laboratory work
- Interpret test results, write technical reports and effectively communicate information within the organization
- Use Excel & formulation software to document lab work and formulas
- Work effectively with various functions of R&D (Sensory, Ingredients, Nutrition, Regulatory, Flavor Technology, Chemistry, Process Engineering, and Technical Services)
- Multi-task to achieve desired results
Requirements
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently in a lab environment
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to precisely batch formulas
- Strong math skills
- Working knowledge of MS Excel
Education & Experience:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science or related field from an accredited institution (Junior, Senior or Graduate student preferred)
- Completion of introductory chemistry and food science course(s) preferred
