Benchmark Scientist – Biotransformation (all genders)
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be responsible for sample generation, preparation, method development, and LC/MS-based analysis of potential therapeutic drug candidates from biological matrices
- You will perform MS-based identification, structure elucidation, and characterization of drug metabolites from in vitro and in vivo samples
- You will evaluate, develop, and implement new strategies and assays for the analysis and metabolite identification of molecules from new modalities
- You will establish in vitro biotransformation-related screening assays required for the optimization of new drug candidates
- You will summarize and present results to the Biotransformation group and project teams
- You will support analytical instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting
- You will introduce and train colleagues in new techniques and you are enthusiastic about working in the lab

- You have a Master’s degree or a PhD in life sciences or related fields and experience in hands-on laboratory work
- You have demonstrated hands-on experience and an overview in LC/MS analytics, preferably high-resolution MS, including different chromatographic techniques
- Knowledge in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics is advantageous
- Experience with different sample preparation techniques is advantageous
- You are adept at handling, visualizing, and presenting complex data
- You exhibit scientific rigor, efficiency, and focus with high organizational skills
- You are a team player (all genders) with strong communication and presentation skills in interdisciplinary teams
- You have excellent knowledge of English, both in conversation and writing; German speaking is advantageous
