We are a leading Science and Technology organization seeking a passionate and highly motivated Associate Scientist to join our Center of Excellence (CoE) in Rockville, Maryland. As a crucial member of our team, you will have the opportunity to apply your scientific expertise in cell culture and DNA production/purification to help address key challenges and contribute to multiple pipeline projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and deliver existing cell culture capabilities to produce protein in suspension culture.
- Deliver high-quality materials with appropriate control experiments and documentation.
- Clearly communicate the results of experiments and adapt to feedback quickly.
- Ability to follow protocols and learn new skills.
- Identify and communicate potential deviations, problems, and unexpected outcomes promptly.
Basic Qualifications:
- BSc in protein biochemistry, cell biology, biology, molecular biology, or related field.
- Six or more months experience with recombinant protein production/cell culture.
- Six or more months of experience with DNA preparation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MSc in protein biochemistry, cell biology, biology, molecular biology, or related field.
- 1-3 years hands-on experience with recombinant protein production, especially in bacterial, insect, and mammalian cell cultures.
- Familiarity with DNA preparation, sample characterization techniques, and bioburden measurement.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
