JOB OVERVIEW
Perform routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures to obtain data from client specimens. Provide routine documentation and review of work performed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Complete and prepare documentation in compliance with regulatory and corporate guidelines.
- Perform and document all specimen test procedures accurately and timely.
- Exercise good judgment in assessing test procedures.
- Identify abnormal progress or unusual results and escalate as needed.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Assist in the review and development of laboratory procedures.
- Identify process improvements and participate in their implementation.
- Notify inventory staff of supply shortages.
- Participate in continuing education and training sessions.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of laboratory operations.
- Good understanding of laboratory safety practices.
- Skills in using computer systems and applications.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a Science Discipline with 2 years of clinical laboratory experience under GLP and/or CLIA guidelines; OR, Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Candidates with experience in cell culture, ELISA, HAI, PCR, and viral neutralization assays are preferred.
