Responsibilities and Expectations
- Grow the Top and Bottom Line: Support execution of product line strategies by providing technical input and carrying out product development initiatives. Enhance product performance and cost attributes internally to maintain and increase product margins. Understand customer requirements and manufacturing processes to drive targeted product enhancements. Protect and maximize future revenue by managing intellectual property for the company. Respond to customer technical issues related to product lines and projects.
- Optimize our Cost Structure: Stay within budgeted spending limits on projects to support increased ROI goals of the R&D and business development team.
- Safety, Quality & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Improve product reliability through product design and minimize product claims and variability to increase customer satisfaction.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Physical Science, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering & Paper Science/Engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Nonwovens product properties/processes and quality system documentation.
- Â Knowledge of safe handling and storage of chemicals, binders, and fibers.
- Â Knowledge of manufacturing and converting operations, product testing, laboratory equipment maintenance and calibrations.
- Â Knowledge of Nonwovens product performance, instrumentation, and testing equipment.
- Knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and reporting requirements.
- Â Knowledge of raw materials, personnel planning, and scheduling.
- Â Knowledge of OSHA, ISO 9001, customer, and internal requirements as they relate to product development efforts.
