Job Description:
- The Laboratory Associate I is responsible for performing pre-analytical processing of biological specimens and conducting moderate and high complexity testing in the clinical laboratory.
- Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the associate will carry out routine laboratory testing, quality control testing, instrument maintenance, result reporting, and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
- Excellent communication skills are also required to effectively convey technical information to the appropriate personnel.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
1. Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences
2. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences including:
- 24 semester hours of science courses that include:
- Six semester hours of chemistry
- Six semester hours of biology
- 12 semester hours of any combination of chemical or biological sciences
