Position Description:
As a Research Scientist I – Tissue Analytics Core at MCW, you will supervise and independently perform core-related services to advance the goals of the principal investigator’s research projects. You will be responsible for designing and executing complex research procedures, analyzing data, and monitoring quality control processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute complex research procedures including immunohistochemistry and histocytometry analyses
- Develop and perform routine and complex protocols for research programs
- Collaborate with principal investigators in study design and statistical analyses
- Develop new methodologies for lab procedures
- Maintain supplies, negotiate with vendors, and track purchase orders
Knowledge – Skills – Abilities:
- Knowledge of biology, genetics, statistics, scientific data analysis, and records management
- Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills
Preferred Schedule:
M-F 8-5
