Job Summary
This full-time position involves working in a research setting to support analytic and scientific studies in microbiology. The Scientist II will conduct experiments, evaluate data, and apply scientific principles in microbial research and technology development for various projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations in the microbiology lab
- Conduct microbiology experiments related to food production for space exploration missions and water recovery projects
- Prepare and present reports on project status
- Maintain culture collections and manage inventory for the department
- Work on other assigned projects
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, or related science field
Experience: Minimum five (5) years of related experience
Skills: Strong background in microbiology, organizational skills, excellent communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
