Description:
Lonza is seeking a Lead Scientist for our Research and Development Team. This lab-based role involves collaborating with upstream Principal Scientists and Technical Directors to develop technical solutions for next-generation cell processes, aiming to maintain Lonza’s position as the leading supplier in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate new processes and control paradigms in ambr250 workflows
- Work closely with upstream Principal Scientists or Technical Directors on complex experimental studies
- Review experimental results and scientific documentation
- Ensure adherence to lab procedures and safety assessments
- Plan and coordinate assets across R&D upstream projects
Key Requirements:
- BSc in Biotechnology / Biochemistry or equivalent (MSc desirable)
- Practical experience in R&D in an industrial/academic setting
- Experience and understanding of ambr250 (essential) and ambr15 (desirable)
- Demonstrated innovative skills and experience leading technology projects
- Team leadership or mentoring experience with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
