About the Role
Job Title: Assistant Scientist – Strain Engineering, Automation and Screening
Location: Geneva, Switzerland
As a successful applicant, you will join our Science and Research Biotechnology Group in Geneva, Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing high-throughput techniques and equipment for microorganism construction and screening. Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, maintaining, and operating automated workflows in various biotechnology processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain automation instruments
- Identify workflow needs and implement automation solutions
- Troubleshoot and optimize automated workflows
- Prepare materials and perform experimental work
- Enter and process data from experiments
- Interpret and report experimental results
Requirements
- Master or bachelor level education in related field
- Experience in molecular biology, lab automation, and biotechnology
- Proficiency in liquid handler automation software
- Strong knowledge of microbial physiology and biotechnology best practices
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
