About the role:
This position at Crown Laboratories, Inc. involves performing experiments on microbiome-related products using general biological techniques, cultivation and maintenance of animal and human cells, measurement and assay of effects and benefit factors of products using animal and human cells, as well as conducting basic experiments for R&D and product extension/improvements. The Associate Scientist will also be responsible for the management and maintenance of the microbiology and cell biology lab and equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
EXPERTISE
– Molecular biology techniques: DNA, RNA, and Protein works.
– DNA cloning and protein expression using molecular biological techniques.
– Isolating total RNA, and comparing expression levels of genes by various conditions through RT-PCR.
– Managing chemicals and devices in the cell biology labs.
INTERFACE/COLLABORATION
– Confirmation of the effects of the products provided by the production facilities through various experiments using animal cells.
– Experimentation and work assistance in MicoLab and MicroFacility.
– Assisting with pharmaceutical development R&D when needed.
Job-Related Qualifications / Skills:
– Master’s degree in a Biological Science, Biochemistry, Biomedical science, or similar field.
– Ability to effectively work in a multidisciplinary team.
– Well-organized and able to properly record experimental data and report on progress.
Eligibility Requirements:
– Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
– Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
