RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide bioinformatics analyses and decision support to biotechnology research and development activities.
- Work with experimental molecular biology and sequencing labs to develop innovative solutions to biotechnology problems.
- Provide guidance to project partners on experimental planning and setup, data collection, and processing.
- Take part in the development of new methods using sequencing technologies and guide establishment of new assays in molecular analytics.
- Manage projects and participate in global cross-functional teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD in Bioinformatics or related field.
- Profound scripting abilities (e.g., Python, R, shell scripting) required.
- Working knowledge of UNIX-like operating systems and bioinformatics tools.
- Experience handling and analyzing genomics, transcriptomics, or proteomics data.
- Experience working with NGS data from prokaryotes and eukaryotes preferred.
- Basic experience with workflow managers and containerization is a plus.
