Job Description:
As a member of the SelectScreen™ Biochemical Screening Services team, the Scientist I, Formulation will perform high-throughput screening using a variety of biochemical assay technologies to characterize new chemical entities for our drug discovery clients. Candidate must have experience with HTS, fluorescence-based assays, liquid handling automation, and LIMS.
Essential Duties:
- Use basic laboratory skills in biochemistry or a related field to run high throughput screening assays.
- Run daily screening projects, analyze data, and generate reports.
- Support continuous improvement culture and adapt to new processes.
- Handle multiple projects with a strong sense of urgency to deliver quality results.
Nature and Scope:
The position exercises judgment within defined practices and policies. Accuracy is crucial in performing all functions of this role.
Working Conditions:
Works in a laboratory environment involving pipetting and automation, constant movement, and computer-based data analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- Technical/Associates Degree with 2 years of experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 0-2 years of experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic lab techniques, equipment, and materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
- Self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and a keen sense of urgency.
